My name is Kathy Thompson, I am a self-taught doll artist. I have been sculpting clay babies since January of 2005. I have had a love for art and creating since I was a young girl. Also a love for anything miniature size. All of my clay babies are Original and OOAK (One-of-a-Kind). There is not another doll like them in the world. They are all free-hand sculpted without the use of molds. It takes lots of love, time and imagination to create all the detailed features. But I do try to get them as life-like as possible. All the little baby folds and wrinkles are there. Ten itty bitty toes and ten tiny fingers. They are made from professional doll makers Prosculpt clay. I use only the finest kemper mohair and realistic eyes on my dolls. They are baked to a ceramic-like finish, polished, then hand painted for realism and that baby glow. Each little treasure comes with his or hers photo Certificate of Authenticity with their birthdate and my signature. Nice people from all over the world have adopted my bundles and given them wonderful homes. I am so happy every time they bring joy to someone else. That makes it all worthwhile!
